How it all started…

How it all started…. My name is Richard Koke. I had the pleasure of serving in the United States Army for 8 years. Within those 8 years, my wife, Carly, and I had three beautiful children. We traveled the world and fell in love with nature.

Every couple of months, we travel to the Hawaiian Islands, Costa Rica and Fiji to search for lumber. We source our live edge wood from carefully selected sustainable suppliers, ensuring that every unique piece is not only a work of art but also a testament to our commitment to environmental responsibility.

My goal is to showcase the beauty of the tree while supporting eco-friendly practices that protect our planet's precious resources while giving lumber a second chance at life!

Teak Tongue and Groove

Why use teak tongue and groove.

Why use teak tongue and groove? It is commonly used for many reasons. Teak is highly durable and weather-resistant, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor settings. Its natural oils and dense grain make it resistant against rot and decay.

The teak boards allow for a tight and secure fit when installed. This interlocking system creates a seamless and smooth surface, which is desirable for flooring, side paneling, ceilings, and other decorative applications.

Teak is also known for its attractive appearance. It has a warm golden-brown color that deepens over time. It adds a touch of elegance and sophistication to any space.

Lastly, teak is also valued for its low maintenance requirements. It requires minimal upkeep and can withstand exposure to moisture, making it a popular choice for areas prone to high humidity or frequent contact with water.

Overall, the combination of teak's durability, aesthetic appeal, ease of installation, and low maintenance makes teak tongue and groove a preferred choice for many individuals in various applications.
